Hermes Sculpture Zbrush - Blood of Zeus - Tsaber

Hello everyone,

I present to you the Hermes Sculpture, inspired by Netflix’s anime Blood of Zeus. These are clay renders of the Hermes statue that I created in ZBrush. After spending a long time designing comic book characters, I decided to move toward something completely different — something rooted in mythology and history. I was fascinated by Netflix’s original anime series Blood of Zeus, with its striking production design and deep storytelling. The reinterpretation of Greek gods in the series — especially Hermes — truly captured my attention, and I decided to sculpt a statue of him as a personal project. I’m looking forward to seeing the second season of the show. You can also view the sculpting process of Hermes’ statue on my blog.

Many movies, video games, and series have drawn inspiration from Greek mythology, and Blood of Zeus stands among the most compelling retellings. The creators added their own original vision to the myth, showing us a different version of Hermes — one far from the playful and mischievous god of the classic tales. In this adaptation, Hermes appears quiet, cautious, and deeply loyal to Zeus, a side that intrigued me and influenced the direction of my sculpture.

The Hermes Sculpture by TSaber is a stunning digital reinterpretation of this legendary messenger god. Sculpted in ZBrush and rendered using Mental Ray inside 3ds Max, the statue blends classical elegance with modern digital artistry. Every contour, fold, and expression reflects both technical mastery and emotional storytelling. Inspired by the timeless beauty of ancient Greek statues, the piece captures Hermes’ speed, wisdom, and divine serenity through lifelike anatomy and graceful motion.

Ultimately, the Hermes Sculpture stands as a modern tribute to the ancient world — a fusion of mythology, creativity, and digital craftsmanship that celebrates the enduring legacy of Greek art.

Sincerely,
TSaber
