Hot Rod Statue – Transformers Collectibles

Here’s the final renders of Hot Rod statue from one of the most beloved 80’s animation series Transformers.

Hot Rod statue is a private project that I really enjoyed working on, despite the fact it may not have any many fans as the character deserves. Just as many fans, I remember Hot Rod first appearing in the all time favorite Transformers – The Animated movie in 1986. He was very bold and interesting, standing out with vibrant shinny colors. Even as he become barer of the matrix of Leadership, after Optimus Prime, and become Rodimus Prime, his design remains chic and modern. I wanted to preserve the character’s general theme, keeping the design elegant and bold.

While respecting the design and effort of the team behind Hot Rod in Transformers: The Last Knight, I’d preferred seeing a design that respects the original Hot Rod we all know. The Hot Rod featured in the movie was certainly a well designed Transformer, but certainly was designed and written to fill in specific holes in the precise plot.
